Why Jesus?

We were created by God and we were made to have a relationship with Him. Many people search for God but do not find Him because they do not understand that there is only one way to Him, and there is no other way to access Him but through the way. Maybe you feel like you prayed to God, but He didn’t answer you; or that you “tried” God, but don’t think He is real because you couldn’t access Him. God ordained a specific way to access Him and unless you get to God through the way, you won’t know or experience God. What is the way? Jesus! 

Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth and the light: no man comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) 

God desires and wants to have a relationship with us but He can’t have a relationship with us without us believing and acknowledging that He sent Jesus to the Earth to die for us and our sins. When we confess Jesus our Lord and Saviour, He will cleanse us from our sins, because He paid the price for our wrongdoings and we will be acceptable to God. How amazing it is that God made a way for us to be able to have a relationship with Him. He knew that there is nothing we can do to justify ourselves before we are not perfect so He sent someone who was sinless and perfect. He gave the most valuable person He had to make the way for us. God is holy and can’t deny His nature to give us free access because then He wouldn’t be God. But He loved us so much that He made a way so we could have a relationship with Him. 

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

That’s how much He wants to have a relationship with you! The question is will you accept His invitation to accept His Son as your Saviour – someone who died on your behalf for your sins so you didn’t have to die in your sins nor be punished for them? You can live free from sin and live a righteous life which is acceptable to God with the help of the Holy Spirit. 

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20)

Jesus died for you over 2000 years ago so you could be free from sin and stand righteous before God. You don’t have to pay the price, earn your justification or be perfect before you can come to God, you only have to believe that Jesus died for you and that He already paid the price and receive the forgiveness of your sins and justification by faith. When you do that you will quickly realise the burden, guilt and condemnation are gone and so you will be able to start a new life with God, where you can enjoy a deep and intimate relationship with God. 

For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. (John 6:40)

How do you accept the invitation to have a relationship with God? Pray this prayer: 

Father, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, please forgive me my sins and my wrongdoings. I believe that Jesus died for me and my sins, so I didn’t have to. I believe that His blood has cleansed me and that I can now freely come to you. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Saviour. I totally surrender my life to you. Please help me to walk in your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. 

If you have prayed this prayer and believed in your heart, you are not a child of God! The whole heaven rejoices that you have joined the family! 

Luke 15:10 says that there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents!
