Equality and Diversity Policy
Mountain of Glory Church and Mount Zion the Prayer Mountain are committed to treating all people equally and with respect, irrespective of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, race, religion, belief, sex or sexual orientation.
We aim to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
We want to challenge all forms of oppression including those based on race, ethnicity, nationality, creed, gender, sex, learning ability, physical impairment, age, and occupation.
We aim to design our activities, services and decision-making processes specifically to encourage and support participation from people who face disadvantages in society.
Review
This policy was adopted several years ago and reviewed again at a meeting of the Mountain of Glory Church Pastoral Board and the Board of Trustees of Mount Zion the Prayer Mountain on 01/02/2023 and will be reviewed at least every 2 years.
Code of Practice
Mountain of Glory Church and Mount Zion the Prayer Mountain aim to make our meetings and events accessible to all people with disabilities.
- All members of Mount Zion the Prayer Mountain and Mountain of Glory Church will have the Equality and Diversity Policy explained to them and will undertake to comply with the implementation of this policy.
- Members who have experienced discrimination can make complaints to the Pastoral and the Trustees Board.
Dealing with Complaints
- Mountain of Glory Church and Mount Zion the Prayer Mountain Pastoral and Trustees Board will take complaints of discrimination and harassment very seriously.
- The Board will decide the action to take based on the principle of ensuring the continual inclusion and safety of any member who has experienced discrimination or harassment.
