Mountain of Glory Church and Mount Zion – Safeguarding Policy is about preventing harm and abuse to anyone and making a timely and appropriate response if it occurs.
Harm or abuse of children and adults are at a risk anywhere – even in church communities.
Mountain of Glory Church and Mount Zion have a duty to ensure our Church and Charity atmosphere is totally safe for all people.
Our ultimate aim is to protect everyone that comes into our church and charity environment, reducing and minimising all risk, harm and abuse.
Our Church and Charity aim to totally eradicate the risk of harm occurring on any one of our premises.
Should there be any occurrence of harm or abuse, with appropriate support and training, it will be recognised, dealt with and reported to the relevant authorities.
What we aim to do
Safeguarding Policy of the Church and Charity certainly aims to:
- Ensure best practice in preventing harm or abuse
- Ensure that the Church and Charity make a timely and appropriate response when harm or abuse is witnessed, suspected or reported.
What we do
Safeguarding and protecting children, adults and anyone else is our priority. It is a permanent and necessary component of our Church and Charity life.
If harm or abuse is suspected, witnessed or reported, you must immediately report it to the Pastoral Board.
Any such unwelcome behaviour or information is communicated to the Police Authority or the Local Authority department responsible.

Our safeguarding service contributes to the National Public Protection agenda and work is overseen and scrutinised by the Church Safe Guarding Pastoral Board.
